The educational and practical manual was prepared within the framework of the educational and scientific activities of higher education institutions of Ukraine in order to improve the professional training of future specialists in the construction and engineering and technical industries. The manual systematizes material on the technological processes of manufacturing metal structures: from the preparation and development of technical and technological documentation to the manufacture of parts, assembly and welding of structures, organization of bolted joints, as well as methods of protecting metal structures from corrosion. Special attention is paid to the mechanical and technological properties of structural steels, chemical composition, product range, welding materials and modern regulatory requirements (DBN, DSTU, Eurocodes). The manual is intended for scientists, teachers, postgraduate students, masters and bachelors of specialties G19 (192) "Construction and civil engineering", as well as for students of educational programs in the areas of "Design of metal structures", "Technology of building products and structures", "Construction production", "Welding production". The materials of the educational and practical manual are recommended for use when studying the disciplines "Technology of manufacturing metal structures", "Welding production in construction", "Technology of construction production", "Protection of metal structures from corrosion" and related courses in engineering, construction and mechanical engineering. Approved for publication by the Academic Council of the NNI PDABA (minutes No. 3 dated 10/23/2025).
