Synopsis

The training manual “Ecological aspects of equipping railway rolling stock” is intended for students of all forms of study of the bachelor's degree in the educational program “Environmental Management of Infrastructure and Transport”, specialty 101 “Ecology”, as well as “Locomotives and Locomotive Facilities”, specialty 273 “Railway Transport”. The training manual covers the basic issues of organizing the processes of equipping the rolling stock of railways, taking into account modern environmental approaches and European integration. The principles of classification, identification and nomenclature of basic materials for locomotive equipment are presented. Technological and organizational recommendations for the stages of rolling stock maintenance are provided. Modern innovative approaches to the rational use of materials and resource saving are analyzed in detail.
